 The 8th General Meeting of the CENIT SOST-CO2 project will be held on April 19th, 2012 in MATGAS facilities in Barcelona.
The planned program consists of a first block with the presentations of the overall progress of the project and of each one of its nine activities. A representative from the Spanish Institution CDTI will assist.
The second block includes the Executive Committee and the General Assembly restricted to the authorized representatives of the companies of the consortium. |

 Lourdes Vega, Director of MATGAS, was recently interviewed for "Temps de Salut" on Radio 9.
In the interview Dr vega reviewed several subjects related to freezing processes (mechanical as well as more sophisticated ones) for improving the health quality of frozen food. After introducing the new Air Products QS freezing tunnel, the interview focused on the new research collaboration between Air Products and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) on cryogenic freezing. Dr Vega explained in detail this method of freezing and mentioned the related advantages, for both end users and businesses.

 Prof. Gómez-Romero, vice-director of MATGAS, will give a plenary lecture at the EMR2012 on "From nanometers to Terawatts. Pending revolutions in materials science".
The Energy & Materials Research Conference (EMR2012) which will take place in Torremolinos (Malaga, Spain) from June 20 to 22, 2012, with the aim of bringing together researchers and engineering disciplines with the aim of sharing the latest developments and advances in materials, processes and systems involved in the energy generation, transmission-distribution and storage.
