Workshop on Supercritical Fluids at PTP
November 2007

Our engineer and laboratory technician in the Supercritical Fluids Laboratory, Raúl Solanas, participated in a short-term mission supported by the European Union to strength the planning, management and capabilities of the Pando Technology Pole (PTP) in Uruguay.

For two weeks he was working in the setting up of a new supercritical plant at the Technology Pole. He helped in the fine-tuning of the equipment and the start up and demonstration of the plant both to PTP's team personnel and to external companies interested in the technology.

He finally offered a workshop on theoretical applications of supercritical fluids, focused on the new pilot plant operation.

The bilateral cooperation Programme is an initiative of the EU and has been carried out by Pohl Consulting & Associates. This short-term mission has been coordinated by the Technology Transfer Unit of the ICMAB-CSIC.
