MATGAS, a centre of excellence in CO2 and Sustainability, working in research, development and demonstration in Energy, Sustainability and Environment (http://www.matgas.org), offers a research assistant contract in the area of Hydrogen Safety, in the framework of the H2TRUST EU project.

H2TRUST, lead by MATGAS, is a safety project designed by a team of European Fuel Cell and Hydrogen (FCH) industry leaders to foster a smooth and well managed transition to full scale commercialization of FCH applications in Europe and, from a safety perspective, to aid the process by which all industry stakeholders are informed, prepared and confident, assuring. H2TRUST shall help assure mechanisms are in place to inform all stakeholders, including the general public, adequately about H2 related safety issues.

The researcher will be responsible for the literature study and discovery as well as to assess methodologies, research best practices and tailor the framework in different hydrogen areas such as production, transport, storage and the different hydrogen applications as well as coordinate the analytical process in the project.

The candidate should have degree on chemical engineering, industrial engineer or chemistry; preferably with experience in the field of Hydrogen. Excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of English and Microsoft Office software is also required.
